On June 28th, 2006 Michael and Greg became the new self-appointed stewards of Ka’awa Loa. Their goal is to Malama the Aina (love and care for the land) and to maximize the variety of agricultural products grown by sustainable, organic means.
Current producing crops include avocados, bananas, mangos, papayas, coconuts, passion fruit, dragon fruit, white pineapple, and Kona coffee.

The Big Island is an extremely diverse place. As home to 11 of the world's 13 ecosystems, with its colorful and beautiful cultural population, it is a paradise that has something to offer everyone.
As your hosts, we have 33 years of experience in hospitality between the two of us, 24 of them here in the Hawaiian Islands. Our experience comes from some of the world’s leading hotel companies, and varies from owning and managing a destination management company, event planning, and stewarding on a private yacht in the Caribbean, to the hotel management fields of front desk, guest services, housekeeping, sales, and banquet management.
Our goal here at Ka’awa Loa is to provide you with a welcoming, warm, peaceful environment in which you can discover and enjoy what we consider "true Hawai'i". Whether your goal is to have a magical experience at Two Step snorkeling with the dolphins, discovering your own dream property & making Hawaii home, holding a successful wellness getaway or corporate retreat, or just spending lazy days relaxing in a paradise away from it all, we are here to help you find what you are looking for, and we do it all in a place where our guests don’t say goodbye, but instead say Aloha . . . "until we meet again."
We hope to welcome you "Big Island Style" someday soon!
Your hosts, Michael and Greg
